Finally it stopped raining, time to get out and paint something outside. I got commissioned to paint two electronic boxes. One had an old tag from a local soccer club on it. I first sprayed a lot of colour on it to get rid off the tag. About 20 min into the painting the police arrived, a “concerned neighbor” had called them. No big deal, I showed them my papers and they were off again.
For the second piece I added drips with acrylic paint to cover the grey box. But then, after 2 hours I started shaking up the first can and oops again the police arrived – the result of another “concerned citizen” calling them…. I would prefer people to talk to me and ask me about my work, especially when I am standing around and wait for paint to dry, instead of calling the police the moment they see a can…
