“Toxic Colours are beautiful” painted end of June 2026 in Freiburg. Definitely a challenge as I only had 2 weeks to plan/cut the stencil and paint everything in the hottest days of summer. Still, this was a great project. Years ago, I had painted an earlier version at a festival in Düsseldorf using a trompe l’oleil to create the necessary gap between the toxic river and the dancing child.  But I always had wanted to recreate it at bigger scale. Luckily, the owners of this wall wanted exactly this motive  and it works perfectly because of the bay window.

The motive addresses the subject of Child Labor and the harsh working conditions of dying clothes.

A version on canvas can be found here.
