The motive is inspired by the increasing surveillance of our public and private lives. I had painted a similar motive before at the Label Valette Festival in 2017. However, for this reloaded version I totally overworked the motive (first done for a private commission in Berlin Mitte), adding more detail and choosing a bright coloured palette. More recently LIBERTE was painted during the ibug 2023 festival in Leipzig (first picture).
