“Frauke Merz”
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz truly believes that only effort and performance count. He is in line with a ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court from 1975 that abolishes all privilege and recognises only performance. That is bollocks of course.
We live in a society of privileges: The country and place where you are born, sex and gender, parent’s education, your name etc decide about your own education, living standard and standing in society.
What would Friedrich Merz look like if he was stripped of some of his privileges, for example if he was born a woman into a working class family and not into a dynasty of lawyers. What would his/her life look like? These are some of the ideas behind this motive.
