The phrase fell when I was chatting with a friend from Cape Town comparing the (daily) problems between the first and third world. After living in a place where everything could happen, where I saw the effects of HIV/poverty every day I now lived in a place where life was easy and people complained about the dumbest things. It took over a year until the final piece was ready, changing the kid around, the headphone and phrase. But in the end I settled for something bold and disturbing.
