Back in May 2020 I introduced the Thea Lang Collective. It is an ongoing project and collaboration with my dear friend and colleague Elmar Karla. While the original idea to create stunning murals is on hold due to the pandemic we introduced ourselves at the ‘Aus Beute Kunst‘ solo exhibition in Berlin in September this year. The idea remains the same, create stunning artworks combining technical stencils with traditional oil painting. For the exhibition we created four unique artworks, some of which have been published here.
I now want to introduce the Fine Art Prints accompanying these original works. I normally do not publish Fine Art prints as I prefer creating silk screen prints of my original artworks. Silk screen printing and stencils work very similarly. However, due to the nature of the Thea Lang artworks that combine stencils with oil paintings, fine art prints are the only way to make them accessible to a broader audience. Each copy has been printed on high quality Hahnemuehle photorag paper, they are numbered, signed by each member of the collective and each have a certificate. They are strictly limited to 60 copies.
