The Artbase festival this year takes place in an old home for the lunatics in the town of Neustrelitz, which is about 1 hour drive from Berlin. I got invited by Street Art Blogger Peter Lorenz to paint there. It was kind of an eerie but also beautiful quiet place, where I pitched my tent and was surrounded by nature and abandoned buildings. There I painted a the “Klima Karussell” (the ‘Climate carousel’), an ironic view of the government’s think tank to address the climate emergency. More info about this painting can be found here.
Artbase will open its doors on the 30th of August.
