German journalist Dunja Hayali painted on a rainbow flag. This is the original version of a mural that spontaneously showed up on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn in September 2025. Following immense insults, the presenter faced simply for doing her job, the mural was painted in support of the journalist. Using the rainbow flag as a backdrop serves as a metaphor for an open and diverse democracy, while the fingerprint pattern reflects on the traces each person leaves on society.
