When I work on the streets I want to interact with the people. Though I have a clear idea what I want to paint and say with the motive the question always remains if the people “get it”. On the street I cannot stand next to a mural and explain what the idea was, and there are no signs like in a museum that offer an explanation. This is where the idea was born to write a book which does exactly that. ‘Lapiz – Walls, Posters, Installations’ does exactly that. I chose many works of the past years and share some of my ideas behind them. Maybe you might think differently about the motives, and that is great because I cannot see all the details and it wouldn’t be much of a dialogue if I knew all the answers. I have the hope though, that I touch people’s soul and make them ponder, because, in the end I think that is the function of (street) art, to hold up a mirror to the people and say: ‘Look! This is how I see the world’.

The book is hardcover and has 84 coloured pages. If you want to purchase it, please have a look here.
